Sewingman is preparing a new selection of custom beanie samples for Source Fashion London 2027.

The collection will be presented at Booth B52 from January 19 to 21, 2027. The event will take place at ExCeL London.

Instead of showing only finished products, our display will focus on the choices behind a custom beanie. Visitors will be able to compare different yarns, knit structures, shapes and branding methods.

New Directions in Custom Beanies

The collection will include beanie designs for fashion, outdoor and lifestyle brands.

Some styles will focus on clean and simple shapes. Others will use heavier textures or more technical materials for winter and outdoor applications.

Visitors can expect to see:

  • Classic cuffed beanies

  • Fisherman beanies

  • Fine-gauge merino wool styles

  • Chunky rib and cable-knit designs

  • Double-layer winter beanies

  • Lightweight knitted hats

  • Beanies made with recycled yarn options

The samples will demonstrate how small construction changes can affect fit, warmth and appearance.

Comparing Materials and Knit Structures

Choosing a yarn is only one part of beanie development. Yarn count, knitting gauge and structure also affect the finished product.

At Booth B52, visitors can compare fine and chunky yarns in person. They can also examine different rib patterns, cable-knit structures and surface textures.

Our team will be available to discuss wool, merino wool, acrylic, recycled polyester and blended yarn options.

The right choice depends on the target price, intended use and preferred hand feel of the collection.

Branding for Different Markets

A logo should match the design of the beanie rather than look like a separate addition.

The display will include several branding options, such as:

  • Direct embroidery

  • Woven labels

  • Jacquard logos

  • Leather patches

  • Rubber patches

  • Custom inside labels

  • Private-label packaging

Visitors can compare the size, texture and appearance of each method. Our team can also explain which options work best with different knit structures.

From an Idea to a Finished Sample

Brands do not need to bring a completed design to start a conversation.

Visitors may bring a tech pack, reference sample, sketch or mood board. Sewingman can help review the material, construction, sizing and branding requirements before sampling.

These discussions can also cover MOQ, sample timing, bulk production planning and documentation requirements.
